History
Freeman Signs was started in 1954. It was purchased by Jeff & Kathleen Peters in 2000 at which time Freeman Signs operated out of a 3500 s.f. facility and employed only 6 people. Over the past 20 years, Kathleen and Jeff have grown the company to over 40 employees and now operate out of a 26,000 s.f. facility located in Denver, CO.

“I started in the sign industry working for my father at his neon shop in 1989. Through my employment at the neon shop, I met Jeff Peters who worked for another local Colorado sign company. As our relationship grew we ventured into the purchase of our own sign company which we have operated together since 2000. I have enjoyed the opportunity to market our company and build relationships with many valued customers in this unique industry. Every day is an adventure!”

“I worked as an airline baggage handler straight out of high school but quickly advanced to aircraft mechanic. My employment took me to Florida for a few years but I was laid off so I moved back to Denver. I took a job with a large Denver area custom sign manufacturer in their sheet metal department. Once again, I advanced to the installation department where I worked my way up to operating their largest crane. After 6 years, I took a job as install foreman for another large Colorado custom sign shop. After 2 years there, I decided that I had enough experience to own and operate my own company. While we started out very small, it has been an amazing journey to where we are today. You could say signage is in my blood.”
